September 21 would have been Chuck Jones’ 109th birthday, and we’re celebrating BIG this weekend at Great Park as part of the extended Chuck Jones: Season of Creativity exhibition at the Great Park Gallery. With our partners at the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity, we have many ways to join in the fun this Sunday, September 5.
- Extended Chuck Jones: Season of Creativity Exhibition: If you haven’t seen the one-of-a-kind sketches and unique memorabilia featured in this extensive exhibition, we have good news. The exhibition has been extended through December 31.
- BIG FUN at the Big Draw: Gather your friends and family to celebrate at the Chuck Jones Big Draw. Learn to draw your favorite Looney Tunes characters, try your hand at animation, join a chalk mural, and more fun activities all across the Palm Court Arts Complex.
- Pay Tribute to Chuck: Learn about the history and legacy of Chuck Jones at a very special film and lecture, featuring his most memorable shorts and unique insights from his family and friends.
- Pose at the Park: Did you know there are four Looney Tunes characters hanging out at Great Park? Use your phone to take a selfie, then post with #chuckjones109 to celebrate.
