OLYMPIA, Wash. – A U.S. Senator is healing after falling during a hike.

KOMO News Radio confirmed Senator Maria Cantwell broke her arm while hiking on the Olympic Peninsula after she fell. The break did require surgery.
Her office tells KOMO News Radio she is recovering and will be ready to return to Washington D.C. when voting resumes.
