LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are catching a lot of flak for being a roster filled with old heads. From Carmelo Anthony to Rajon Rondo, their players heydays were arguably a decade ago or more.

But just how old are they in comparison to everyone else? Well, the list of oldest players in the NBA makes it pretty clear, featuring six Lakers in the top 12 amongst the entire league.

Everyone made a huge deal about LeBron James still playing like a Top 5 player despite being 36 years of age last season. That feat is made even more staggering considering he's now the fourth oldest player in the NBA, behind former teammate Udonis Haslem (41) and new Lakers teammate Carmelo Anthony (37).

Right behind King James by exactly one month is Marc Gasol (36), with Trevor Ariza (36), Dwight Howard (35), and Rajon Rondo (35) not lagging far behind. Interestingly enough, the Lakers have previously been linked to current free agent and number six on the list, Paul Millsap. That potential move would push LA's monopoly of veteran stars even stronger.

The Lakers' age could definitely be a pro and con as LeBron James and Co. hunt for a title this season. For a team that was riddled with injuries last season, upping the age average on the team seems like a risky move.

But at the same time, having a seasoned cast of rotation players, if healthy, could work to their advantage as they bring loads of playoff and championship experience to the postseason. They just need to get there in one piece.
