News 12 meteorologists are tracking Ida's path toward New Jersey, which has the danger to produce heavy rain and flash flooding.

A flash flood watch is in effect until Thursday afternoon.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist James Gregorio says Ida's remnants are expected to arrive in the state by Wednesday. Dangerous downpours, rivers and streams flooding, and drainage overflow are all possible.

There is the potential for up to 6 inches of rain in parts of the state. Gregorio says northern parts of the state will see the highest rainfall totals.
