A toddler succumbed to her injuries after a single-vehicle wreck on U.S. 15 near Jefferson Road Sunday evening.
The toddler, a 15- to 16-month-old girl, died after being flown to Prisma Health Richland Hospital, Sumter County Coroner Robbie Baker said. Her name is not being released.
At about 5:28 p.m., a 2012 Hyundai Genesis was traveling north on U.S. 15 when it left the road, struck a stop sign, struck a tree and then overturned, South Carolina Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Tyler Tidwell said. There was a total of four occupants in the vehicle.

The toddler was originally taken to Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital but was later flown to Richland. The two other passengers were also transported to the hospital.
