Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes went all out for a surprise 26th birthday bash for his fiancée, Brittany Matthews.
Matthews documented the weekend festivities as they unfolded, first sharing a photo of three dresses Mahomes bought her the evening before the big event.
The next day, Matthews was seen wearing one of the dresses as she and her fiancé made their way over to a mystery location in her Instagram Story.
“Birthday shenanigans are beginning, and I don’t know where I’m going!” she said in an Instagram Story before showing Mahomes sitting in the car next to her. She captioned the video, “took me to a surprise dinner.”
She paired her red dress with a white Yves Saint Laurent clutch purse.
Matthews then recorded video entering a rooftop venue which was decorated with birthday signs and balloons that said “26.”
“Look how pretty,” Matthews exclaimed into the camera.
She then shared a video of herself clinking glasses with her football player beau at their table for two where she had a special personalized cocktail menu.
“Thank you for making my birthday so dang special,” she captioned a photo of Mahomes as he sat across from her at the table.
But the celebrations didn’t stop there. After the romantic dinner, Matthews was surprised by a big group of friends.
Matthews looked shocked as she entered the room to find a group of pals waiting with a beautiful birthday cake.
She then posted videos of their night, where she was seen dancing with pals and sharing a smooch with her man.
Matthews and Mahomes got engaged in March. The athlete popped the question with an engagement ring estimated to be worth six figures. The couple — who is set to tie the knot in 2022 — welcomed their first child, Sterling Skye Mahomes, a month prior.
The athlete made history when he signed the richest contract in sports history over the summer, a 10-year extension with the Chiefs worth $503 million.
