The Los Angeles Dodgers have a strong social media presence as a team, and several players are individually active across Twitter, Instagram and in some cases TikTok as well. They have been joined by former teammate Andre Ethier, who joined Instagram over the weekend.

His handle skips on using a first name and instead features Ethier’s middle name, @everettethier. Ethier’s first post was a highlight-worthy video of himself arriving at Dodger Stadium.

Over the weekend Justin Turner posted a photo in his Instagram story of himself and Ethier during batting practice.

Although this marks Ethier’s first entry into social media on a personal level, he has maintained a presence with the Dodgers through their channels and as a regular guest on David Vassegh’s “Extra Innings” podcast for AM 570 L.A. Sports Radio.

Also over the weekend, Ethier represented the Dodgers at a Canoga Park WSS retail store to celebrate a new partnership and release of the Nike Cortez LA. He previously served as the Dodgers’ representative at the 2021 MLB Draft as well.

Ethier was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the second round in 2003 before being traded to the Dodgers for Milton Bradley in 2005. He ended up making his MLB debut with the Dodgers in 2006 and spent his entire career with the organization until retiring after the 2017 season.

In his 12 years with the Dodgers, Ethier became known as “Captain Clutch” and most notably lived up to the nickname with six walk-off home runs in 2009 and 11 walk-off hits from 2008 to 2010. Ethier retired as the Dodgers franchise leader for postseason games played, though that was later broken by Yasiel Puig.

Ethier visited Bellinger, Pederson

Back in July, Ethier made a visit to Dodger Stadium to welcome Joc Pederson back for the first time since he left the team and also have some fun with Cody Bellinger.

Ethier recorded himself while in the pavilion and shouting to get the attention of Bellinger and Pederson throughout the game.
