Brach (shoulder) threw a side session Saturday and is expected to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Louisville during the upcoming week, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Brach has been on the shelf since Aug. 8 with a right shoulder impingement, but he looks to be honing in on a return to the active roster. The Reds will presumably want to see him make at least one or two appearances at Louisville before adding him back to their bullpen.
