Severe thunderstorm warnings expire in West Michigan

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The severe thunderstorm warnings and severe thunderstorm watch issued in West Michigan have expired after storms passed through the area.

The National Weather Service severe thunderstorm warnings for parts of Ionia County, Muskegon County, Kent County and Barry Count, along with a watch for multiple West Michigan counties, have expired.

Wind gusts of up to 60 MPH and hail were possible, NWS said when it issued the warnings.

A severe thunderstorm watch remained in place for other parts of Michigan after the storms passed through West Michigan.
