Scott Frost is 12-20 through three seasons at Nebraska, and with a new Athletic Director hired, many people wonder if Frost is on the hot seat.

On ESPN’s famed College Gameday this morning, reporter Gene Wojciechowski talked to Trev Alberts, Nebraska’s new athletic director, about Frost’s job status going into the season.

“I asked him point-blank, ‘Is Scott Frost coaching for his job this season?'” Wojciechowski said, “He said, ‘Well, even the great Tom Osborne endured criticism when he was at Nebraska.’ But he emphasized, and the quote is, ‘It would be a mischaracterization to say that Scott Frost is coaching for his job.”

Frost spoke to Wojciechowski about his three years at Nebraska and what he has seen out of this year’s team.

“Coaches are always looking for ways they can do things better,” Frost told Wojciechowski. “If you’re not evolving, then you’re stale and stagnant. It’s been three years of hard work. Day-by-day, we get better and better. Our unity’s better, our leadership’s better and our culture’s better.”
