Film producer and distribution company New Regency has acquired the film rights to David Kushner’s Vanity Fair article, “The Church of Living Dangerously: How One of America’s Biggest Pastors Became a Drug Runner for a Mexican Cartel,” the Hollywood entertainment site, Deadline, reported Monday. The deal also includes the life rights to Bishop, 58, and his adult son, David.
The Yard Milkshake Bar, which began quietly serving ice cream treats on the Vancouver waterfront several weeks ago, marked its official opening last weekend.
The milkshake shop offers a variety of options including speciality milkshakes and sundaes, ice cream pints, edible cookie dough, and speciality bowls.
When the COVID-19 pandemic arrived last year, alcohol and cannabis retailers in Washington were able to mimic their restaurant and retail brethren by embracing carry-out and curbside service models, thanks to temporary exemptions to the state Liquor and Cannabis Board’s normal sales rules.

A man killed in a Saturday night shooting at an east Vancouver parking lot has been identified as 34-year-old Armando P. Valencia of Vancouver.
The Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office announced Tuesday that Valencia died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
A 34-year-old man was killed Tuesday afternoon when he was struck by a vehicle near Vancouver Mall, according to the Vancouver Police Department.
Police responded to the crash at 4:09 p.m. near the intersection of Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard and Vancouver Mall Drive.
