Song celebrates “Lush Life” eclipsing one billion Spotify streams

Reaching yet another milestone, multi-platinum pop star Zara Larsson’s platinum-certified breakout single “Lush Life” has officially surpassed one billion Spotify streams and counting. To celebrate this achievement, she has unveiled her original old school take on the song, “Lush Life (Retro Version),” available now via Epic Records.

On the track, piano rings out through finger-snaps as wild horn samples and a thick bass line pulsate. Her vocals stand out front and center as the instantly recognizable hook resounds in a fresh light. Infusing a jolt of energy, she brings a different perspective to this fan favorite anthem.

“Lush Life” introduced Larsson as an international force of nature. It held No. 1 in Sweden for five weeks in addition to capturing No. 1 in Mexico and Poland. It has gone either gold, platinum, or multi-platinum in 21 countries, notably reaching diamond status in France and Poland and 10-times platinum in her native Sweden.

To present the full picture of her latest album Poster Girl, she added six new tracks with Summer Edition. These include originals such as the R&B-pop bop “Morning” and the nostalgically breezy “Last Summer” in addition to an acoustic piano-laden version of the hit “I Need Love” now featuring First Aid Kit. She also brings cinematic energy to Orchestral Versions of the gold smash “Ruin My Life” and “Never Forget You.” Then, there’s the Alok Remix of “Right Here.” Brazilian phenomenon Alok transports “Right Here” into the center of the dance floor with pulsating four-on-the-floor production, high energy bass, and warm synths. It has all the makings of a summer festival favorite.

Tracks from Poster Girl have amassed 700 million-plus streams on Spotify alone in addition to posting up north of 200 million views on YouTube. Larrson also celebrated the release of Poster Girl Summer Edition with a Roblox Launch Party—designed by Roblox developer MELON, making history with millions of views worldwide.
