Dyson was claimed off waivers by the Blue Jays on Friday, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.

Dyson will get to play for a contender down the stretch, though whether the Blue Jays still count in that category following their recent slide is debatable. He'll give the team extra depth in center field and provides speed off the bench, but George Springer is nearing a return from a knee injury, so Dyson's unlikely to earn regular at-bats. Even if injuries open up unexpected playing time, his .214/.290/.292 slash line over the last four years combined makes him an unappealing fantasy option for anyone who isn't desperate for steals.
