Teachers in 1 Delaware County School District Rank Among Highest Paid in State

Delaware County has two of the best school districts in Pennsylvania. One of those districts also has some of the highest paid teachers, according to a new ranking by the World Scholarship Forum.

Radnor Township School District ranked as the second-best performing public school system in the Keystone State, followed by Haverford Township School District in fourth place.

Radnor Township School System also came in 10th among the top highest-paid school systems in Pennsylvania.

Radnor has three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school within its purview. The district has a strong reputation, including several blue ribbon schools.

On average, the teachers in Radnor make around $85,732 per year, which is above the state average that stood at $66,265 in 2017.

Haverford Township School District, which has seven public schools with a capacity of around 6,500 students, did not make the list of school districts with the highest-paid teachers.

The highest-paying school district in the state is Danville Area School District, followed by Lower Merion School District and Central Montco Technical High School.

As of 2015 and 2016, an average teacher in Pennsylvania was getting an average of $65,205.
