Paddlers of all skills and boat-types are invited to a float-together on Union Grove Lake between Gladbrook and Garwin on Sept. 4. The informal event, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., encourages folks to get out and enjoy the lake over the Labor Day weekend.

Paddlers should plan on bringing their own food. Bottled water will be provided. A new kayak dock attached to the boat ramp near the swimming beach will be available. Union Grove State Park stickers will be given to the first 25 boats to launch from the kayak dock.

This event is hosted by the Lake and Park Holding Corporation, donor of the kayak dock.
