Turcotte had surgery Thursday for acute appendicitis but should be ready for the Kings' rookie camp in mid-September.

Turcotte spent his first professional season playing exclusively for AHL Ontario, for which he recorded six goals and 15 assists in 32 contests. The University of Wisconsin product was selected by Los Angeles with the fifth overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft and should be given a chance to secure a roster spot for Opening Night during training camp this fall.
