Fox and FriendsAinsley Earhardt interviewed Arizona Sheriff Mark Lamb about his promise not to mandate vaccines, which she and Lamb claimed “went viral” with over 65,000 video views on Facebook.

The video in question features Lamb delivering a dopey update to followers of the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office Facebook account, in which he promises to protect citizens’ rights to be infected by his deputies — yet somehow missed the golden opportunity to be a dude named “Lamb” calling other people “sheep.”

Hey, folks, Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb here. With the increase in private businesses and even government organizations talking about mandating the vaccine, I wanted to let you know that here at the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, we do not mandate the vaccine. And as long as I’m your sheriff, we will never mandate the vaccine. We believe that your health choices are yours and yours alone. So whether you get the vaccine or don’t get the vaccine, that’s your private information here. We believe in America and freedom and we’re going to continue on with that. God bless.

Since the FDA granted full approval for the Pfizer vaccine, President Joe Biden has pressured businesses and others to put mandates in place.

As Earhardt noted, that promise — which actually only covers the 500 or so staffers in the department — racked up over 65,000 views before that interview.

That sounds like a lot of people getting the welcome feeling of relief that at least one man still believes in America and freedom. Not just America, not just freedom, but BOTH. Yeah, he said that shit!

Virality — contextually ironic though it is, because this guy is bragging about not requiring his employees to stop an actual virus — is in the eye of the beholder, but even by the standards of the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, this message is far from a runaway hit.

Yes, by Thursday morning, it had surpassed the 64.8k views that “Sheriff Lamb reads book to kids” racked up and quadrupled the viewership of “Sheriff Mark Lamb reads ‘One Big Pair of Underwear'”, but Lamb’s promise has not even reached one-tenth of the viewers that “Deputies wish girl ‘Happy Birthday!'” has, and has even further to go to surpass the 5.1 million views for “NO CAMPING IN THE LEFT LANE!”

NO CAMPING IN THE LEFT LANE? What happened to “America and freedom?”
