SHARON SUE ROGERS
ROGERS, Sharon Sue (Keen) – of Davison, Michigan, age 72, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 12 p.m., Friday, Aug. 27, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, Michigan, 48423; Rev. Fr. Denis Spitzley officiating. Interment immediately following the service in St. John Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021 and 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Friday, Aug. 27, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice, in Sharon’s memory.
Sharon was born in Alpena, Michigan on Nov. 10, 1948, daughter of the late Walter and Catherine (Niles) Keen. She was a graduate of Alpena High School, Class of 1966. Sharon met John David Rogers III in 1982 and they were married on March 24, 1990 in Flint, Michigan. She was employed by General Motors Fisher Body. Sharon was a member of the Davison Eagles Aerie #3589. She enjoyed fishing, trips to the casino, and spending time with her family and friends.
Sharon is survived by her husband, John David Rogers III, eight children, Todd Werda, James Werda, Ricky (Amy) Erickson, Melissa Rogers, Jack Rogers, Tammy (Adam) Woolridge, John (Andrea) Rogers and Woody Clark; daughter-in-law, Tammy Werda, 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, two siblings, Thomas (Jean) Keen and Betty Schulke, many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Catherine Keen and her son, Jeffrey Werda.
