The Angels selected Petricka's contract from Triple-A Salt Lake on Wednesday, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

The 33-year-old righty has impressed with Triple-A Salt Lake this season, posting a 2.61 ERA and 32:9 K:BB in 31 innings of relief. Having displayed an ability to pitch multiple innings, Petricka will provide the Angels with bullpen depth and a long-relief option. His last MLB stint came in 2019, when he pitched to a 3.38 ERA in eight innings with the Brewers. No corresponding move has been announced yet.
