After claiming a silver medal in this summer’s Olympic games, Duke Ragan is set to return to the professional ranks. ESPN reports that Ragan will see action on the October 23rd Jamel Herring vs. Shakur Stevenson card in Atlanta alongside Nico Ali Walsh.

Both men are booked to face TBA.

Despite losing to Bruce Carrington in the Olympic Trials, the cancellation of the Americas qualifier tournaments allowed Ragan (4-0, 1 KO) to become a late addition to Team USA. He certainly made the most of the opportunity, defeating Samuel Kistohurry, Serik Temirzhanov, Kurt Walker, and Samuel Takyi before narrowly falling to Russian ace Albert Batyrgaziev.

Walsh (1-0, 1 KO) is Muhammad Ali’s grandson, a fact which the commentary crew will remind you of approximately 600 times per minute. He’s coming off a TKO win over Jordan Weeks in his debut earlier this month.

We’ll keep you guys posted as the rest of the card comes together; the main event seems like a sufficiently big deal for Top Rank to staple some solid fights to it.
