Irwin County students are transitioning to virtual learning starting next week.
In a letter to parents, the Irwin County School System announced that schools will be closed on Thursday, August 26 and Friday, August 27.
Students will start virtual learning on Monday, August 30 and continue through Friday, September 10. Updated information can be found below:
School officials say that they will monitor and revisit the positive numbers for the staff at all three schools towards the end of the second week of virtual learning.
The determination of the operations of the schools will be communicated through social media, as well as the call-out system.
School officials say that the safety of staff and students remains the number one concern of Irwin County Schools.
