Abad allowed just three hits and a walk while striking out three over 3.1 innings in Tuesday's loss to the Angels.
The southpaw covered the most innings of the five pitchers Baltimore used to get through the high-scoring contest. It was the first time in four appearances Abad was able to keep runs off the board, as he's yielded seven runs in seven innings since he was brought up from Triple-A Norfolk.
