OXFORD — Two weeks before the start of the season, Ole Miss football still isn't done building its roster.

Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin announced the addition of offensive lineman Jordan Rhodes to the roster Monday. Rhodes, who played in 20 games over the last three years at South Carolina, is a 6-foot-4, 335-pound lineman originally from Fairburn, Georgia.

Rhodes has two years of eligibility remaining and will be immediately eligible to play.

Rhodes played in four games for South Carolina in 2020 without making a start. He played in all 12 of the Gamecocks' games in 2019. Rhodes entered his name into the transfer portal in April.

This addition marks two veteran offensive linemen added by the Rebels this summer. Ole Miss also brought in Utah transfer Orlando Umana, who is expected to start at center when healthy.

Rhodes will join safety Otis Reese and wide receiver Jalen Knox as players who transferred in from elsewhere in the SEC. Reese is expected to start at safety this fall, and Knox is ineligible.

Other than Umana, Ole Miss returns four starters on its offensive line from last year.
