The 2021 BMW Championship at Caves Valley Golf Club just outside Baltimore will be the second of three stops in the 2021 FedEx Cup Playoffs. The BMW Championship 2021 field will include the top 70 in the FedEx Cup standings but only the top 30 after this no-cut event will advance to the Tour Championship next week. Dustin Johnson is the defending FedEx Cup champion but he's had a tough year and will have work to do to cement a top-30 spot entering the week sitting 22nd in the standings.

Johnson is always a popular option for PGA DFS lineups but can you trust the No. 2 player in the world after he's missed the cut in two of his last three events? Or is it time to fade Johnson in favor of PGA DFS picks with a significantly lower price tag? Before entering any PGA DFS tournaments or cash games for the BMW Championship 2021, you'll want to see the latest daily Fantasy golf picks, advice and player pool from SportsLine's Mike McClure.

McClure is a DFS pro with nearly $2 million in career winnings, and he's been red-hot on his PGA Tour picks this season. McClure is also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every tournament 10,000 times, taking factors like statistical trends, past results and current form into account. This allows him to find the best PGA DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They're a must-see for any PGA DFS player.

Last week at the Northern Trust, McClure included Jon Rahm among his top PGA DFS picks. The result: Rahm finished in third place with four rounds in the 60s and recorded 128.9 points on FanDuel and 124 points on DraftKings. Anybody who had him in their lineup was well on the way to a profitable weekend.

In addition, McClure's model is up almost $10,000 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament. This same model has also nailed a whopping seven majors entering the weekend. Anyone who has followed it has seen massive returns.

Now, McClure has set his sights on the BMW Championship 2021 and revealed his optimal PGA DFS advice, strategy and player pool. Head to SportsLine now to see his top daily Fantasy golf picks for the 2021 BMW Championship

Top 2021 BMW Championship PGA DFS picks

One of McClure's top PGA DFS picks for the BMW Championship 2021 is Jon Rahm at $11,700 on DraftKings and $12,000 on FanDuel. Rahm looked like he was on his way to a win last week at the Northern Trust but his putter failed him in the final round. However, he still wound up finishing third and he maintains a comfortable lead atop the Official World Golf Ranking.

Rahm has recorded a top 10 finish in five of his last six worldwide starts. The only week that he didn't secure a top 10 finish was at the Memorial Tournament when he was forced to withdraw after the third round with a six-shot lead because of a positive COVID-19 test. Rahm ranks first on the PGA Tour in total strokes gained (2.112) and has been nearly a quarter shot better per round than every other player this season. He's a solid bet to be near the top of the 2021 BMW Championship leaderboard after winning last year at Olympia Fields outside Chicago.

McClure's optimal PGA DFS strategy also includes rostering Collin Morikawa at $10,000 on DraftKings and $11,400 on FanDuel. Like Hovland, Morikawa turned pro a little over two years ago and he's quickly positioned himself as one of the best in the world, winning five PGA Tour events including two major championships and a WGC event.

Morikawa ranks third in the Official World Golf Ranking and is sixth in the FedEx Cup standings due in large part to him being one of the most transformative ball strikers in recent memory. Morikawa ranks first on the PGA Tour in strokes gained on approach (1.337) and is nearly four-tenths of a shot per round better than any other qualifying player on the PGA Tour. Look for him to attack what should be a relatively soft golf course after weekend rains on the eastern seaboard.
