Aug. 24 (UPI) -- British comedian Michael McIntyre has signed on as the host of NBC's upcoming U.S. version of the U.K. game show, The Wheel.
The new series is set to premiere in 2022.
"Each episode will feature suspenseful high-stakes trivia, plenty of laughs, and huge stars seated on a spectacular 42-foot-wide spinning wheel," a synopsis said.
McIntyre also hosts the British edition of The Wheel, which debuted on the BBC last November.
