Ramona Meadors has been named weekend morning news producer, ABC 7 EYEWITNESS NEWS, it was announced by Jennifer Graves, vice president of News, ABC 7 Chicago. Meadors’ first day at ABC 7 is Monday, Aug. 23.
According to Graves, “Ramona is a smart, dedicated news producer with a creative spirit evidenced in her work. She knows and understands Chicago, and we are thrilled she’s joining us and coming back to the place she grew up.”
In her new role at ABC 7, Meadors will be producing the station’s 5 a.m. and 8 a.m. news block on Saturday and Sunday. Meadors comes to ABC 7 from Atlanta, Georgia, where she was a news producer at the WXIA-TV, the NBC affiliate there. Prior to producing news at WXIA, Meadors produced a weekly business show for the station. She’s also worked at WNDU-TV in South Bend as a news producer.
When not producing news, Meadors acts, directs, and writes. She produced and directed an independent web series and is currently writing a novel.
