Jerry V. Scott, 72, of Shawnee, OK went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 15, 2021 at the hospital surrounded by family.

Jerry was born October 21, 1948 in Sapulpa, OK to Coleman V. & Grace L. Scott. He graduated in 1966 from Kellyville High School and then later attended Oklahoma State University to study Animal Science.

Jerry was raised on a family dairy farm. He had such a love for the dairy farm life that he continued that life with his daughters.

He didn’t know anything but hard work. After dairy farm life was over, he owned & operated a car transportation company, driving a car hauler. He later got off the road to become a car transportation broker.

Later, he had a son that he was so proud of to carry on the Scott name. His son, Isaac, is now following in his footsteps. In the time he was brokering cars, it gave him the opportunity to teach his grandkids how to drive 90 mph when they were 15 years old and how to watch out for cops.

Jerry met his wife, Irina, just 5 short years ago. His love for animals and farm life drew him back to have a small farm that he & Irina enjoyed in his “retirement” with a small herd of cows, chickens and a vegetable garden.

In his spare time, he loved riding his collection of Harley Davidson motorcycles.

He had a caring and compassionate heart and was always willing to give a helping hand. There are too many examples to list, but one that stands out is, giving a car to a stranger in need.

He had a personal love for sports that included his high school baseball team. He coached his oldest daughters in softball which led to a state championship. He drove them all over the country. He was a season ticket holder from day one for the OKC Thunder basketball team. He also was an OSU Cowboys football seat holder.

He was the Patriarch of our family. He left us with that same hardworking ethic. He was a man of faith and made sure all of his children know Jesus. He is loved and will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. He was the smartest man we know. He always had a listening ear and gave the best advice, whether we wanted to hear it or not. We could always depend on him for directions to anywhere. His descriptions were so great, he was like a living road atlas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, C.V. and Grace Scott, brother Coleman Scott, and great-granddaughters Camille & Calliope.

He is survived by his loving wife Irina, daughter Lori and husband Wade McCaskey of Kellyville, daughter Keli and husband Don Masterson of Bristow, daughter Jeri Sue and husband Daren Blackwood of Glenpool, son Jeremy Isaac Scott and wife Francesca of Moore. Grandchildren: Trenton, Brooke, Makenzie, Lauren, Hannah, Riley, Gabriella, Lachlan. Great-grandchildren: Penelope, Callahan, Hazel, & Trason. Brother Bill Scott and Sisters Beverly Hiett and Charlotte Sisney and a host of family & friends.
