Nate Robinson is set to propose to Tracy Metcalfe as she returns to the village in upcoming scenes on Emmerdale.

Fans have recently seen Tracy struggle with post-natal depression following the birth of her and Nate's daughter Frankie, and has found it difficult being alone with the newborn amid her mental health struggles.

In scenes set to air later next week, Nate will be pleased for Belle Dingle as she has a lead on some new business whilst he prepares for Tracy's homecoming.

However, he has a big surprise in store as he proposes to Tracy upon her return, leaving her taken aback and left in shock.

Later on, Tracy continues to struggle with her depression, with her stresses bubbling to the surface.

Her fears of looking after Frankie alone are hidden from everyone else, and she feels trapped when left alone with the baby.

In one heartbreaking moment, she is unable to cope with Frankie's crying and snaps as she breaks down in tears.

Emmerdale has been working with the Association for Post Natal Illness for the Tracy storyline, with boss Kate Brooks previously expressing hope that it will help those struggling find comfort.

"It will be hard to watch at times but ultimately it's a story about love and hope and we hope it offers comfort to those going through a similar experience," she said.

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Thursday, August 26 and Friday, August 27 on ITV.
