Will Ospreay Returns at NJPW Resurgence. Calls Shingo Takagi a Fake Champion

Will Ospreay is back, making his return to NJPW TV at Resurgence. The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion returned at this weekend’s show to cut a promo in which he said he’s not cleared to return to the ring from the neck injury that has kept him out since May and caused him to be stripped of the IWGP Heavyweight Title.

Ospready pointed out that Jon Moxley was able to keep the IWGP US Title for a year without defending it while he was stripped of his title after four months, and called current champion a “fake champion” with the “Interim IWGP World Heavyweight Title.” He had his own version of the IWGP World Heavyweight Title with him and said he would be making NJPW Strong his new home, before being run out of the ring by Karl Fredericks, Clark Connors, and TJP.
