I’ve got a wonderful video essay here for you to watch today that puts a focus on director Joe Dante and his battle with Hollywood. The video comes from The Royal Ocean Film Society and it puts the spotlight on three of Dante’s films which include Looney Tunes: Back in Action, Explorers, and Gremlins 2.

This video offers us some great little details on the behind-the-scenes drama that Dante had to deal with in making these movies, and it’s completely fascinating. I was already familiar with a lot of this information, but for those of you who aren’t familiar with the behind-the-scenes stories of these films, this is a must watch.
