Driver killed in solo Vista crash identified as Oceanside man
Camilo Enriquez Sanchez, 24, was killed early Tuesday morning in a crash on Shadowridge Drive near Sycamore Avenue
The driver killed early Tuesday morning in a solo crash in Vista was identified Wednesday as 24-year-old Oceanside resident Camilo Enriquez Sanchez.
Authorities said Enriquez Sanchez was driving a black Honda Civic shortly before 1:30 a.m. Tuesday when he crashed into a concrete retaining wall on east Shadowridge Drive near the intersection at Sycamore Avenue.
Witnesses pulled him from the car and called 911, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Paramedics took him to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, where he died about an hour after the crash, the Medical Examiner’s Office said in a statement.
The county Sheriff’s Department is investigating the crash.
