THIS is the horrifying moment a hiker captures his mother-in-law tumbling to her death off a mountain as he filmed the scenery.
While filming the breathtaking views around him, Kadir Sahinery captured Pumpul Karademir, 71, walk over to have a peek over the edge of the 230ft cliff in Tepekoy, Turkey.
The tragedy unfolded in front of Kadir, Pumpul's husband Mehmet Karademir, her daughter Ayla, and her granddaughter Ceren with their shrieks of despair heard in the recording.
Ayla could also be heard warning her mother "don't go, mum, no, mum, don't go" as she approached the cliff edge just before her fatal fall.
The police and paramedics were called to the scene and, following an hour-long search, found the elderly woman's dead body, which they took to the morgue at the public hospital in the nearby town of Savsat.
The deceased woman's funeral was held following afternoon and she was then buried at the cemetery in Tepekoy.
After the funeral, local residents gathered at the village mosque to offer their condolences to the woman's grieving relatives.
It is not clear if the authorities are investigating the incident.
It comes as a family leapt out of a car as it rolled off a cliff edge in China.
The horror incident happened on the Xinjiang's Duku Highway, as one passenger failed to make it out time and suffered severe injuries.
The family outing turned into disaster when they pulled up at the scenic beauty spot to enjoy the view of the valley below.
The man who was the driver climbs out of the vehicle first and is seen sipping his drink before it suddenly starts to roll forward.
He starts shouting and a young boy flings open the door on the back seat and clambers out, followed swiftly by an older woman.
But dramatically, another woman in the front seat was unable to unclip her safety belt and exit the vehicle in time as the car plunges over the edge of the cliff and disappears from view.
The final moments show the rest of her family stare in horror from the top as nearby witnesses flocked to the scene in disbelief.
