Charlotte faces lawsuit after incident during June protest

CHARLOTTE — About 50 people filed a class action lawsuit Tuesday against the city of Charlotte after a protest that happened on June 2, 2020.

Lindsay Curlee claims she was caught in an orchestrated effort by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department to seal off escape routes while officers fired rubber bullets and deployed tear gas.
