An Australian man in Nowra might’ve just secured the greatest tattoo known to mankind… a QR code.
A QR code?
Yeah, but not just any QR code, the QR code for Alan Jackson’s iconic “Chattahoochee” music video on YouTube.
According to the South Coast Register, Jimmy Hefferan is a BIG country music guy, and thought it would be a fun way to lift other people’s spirits during the ongoing pandemic.
“I love country music and I was watching something that showed the most played country song in 1993, the year I was born, which was Chattahoochee by Alan Jackson.
And I thought, ‘how funny would that be’, everyone’s been checking into places so what a laugh to scan a leg and then you get Alan Jackson.
It’s a bit of a challenging time out there for a lot of people, so I thought I’d get it just for a bit of a laugh.
I suppose people probably look at it and go, ‘is that just an example of a QR code?’ But I actually have something funny that comes up and hopefully it brightens the mood.”
What a legend.
It’s been long argued by us here at Whiskey Riff that “Chattahoochee” is more than a song, it’s a lifestyle. And nobody embodies that lifestyle more than this bloke. I mean, imagine having “Chattahoochee” with you wherever you go?
And for those of you confused about what a QR code is (my mom and dad), you just pull up the camera on your cellphone, put that code in the frame, and it pulls up the music video. Easy peasy.
The only way it could be better is of the QR code went to the 10-hour, looped version featuring only Alan Jackson water skiing in jeans.
Talk about GLORIOUS.
