A 20-year-old Louisville man died after the kayak he was in capsized off the coast of North Carolina.Officials with the Cape Hatteras National Seashore, part of the National Park Service, said the kayaking accident happened Tuesday and the Louisville man was reported missing just after 1:30 p.m.According to investigators, the Louisville man, who has not been identified, was with two other individuals in a kayak when it capsized in the Pamlico Sound, between the villages of Avon and Buxton, North Carolina.Officials said two of the kayakers made it safely out of the water and a search ensued for the 20-year-old. His body was found later Tuesday afternoon by the Hatteras Island Rescue Squad, which also was assisted by a visiting rescue diver."Their quick and professional response to this tragic incident is greatly appreciated by Cape Hatteras National Seashore," officials said in a statement.Additional details were not released about the kayaking accident.
