Giants near bottom in latest PFF power rankings

Using their ELO ratings along with exclusive player grades for each team, Pro Football Focus recently compiled a list of training camp power rankings coupled with a Super Bowl win percentage. Somewhat unsurprisingly, the New York Giants did not fare well.

Even with low expectations, Big Blue still checked in a bit lower than many would have anticipated after an offseason in which they beefed up their talent at skill positions considerably.

Super Bowl Win Probability: 1%

Comparatively, the Philadelphia Eagles checked in at No. 30 overall, the Washington Football Team at No. 20 overall and the Dallas Cowboys at No. 17 overall.

Philly was given less than a 1% chance to win the Super Bowl, while Washington and Dallas were each given a 2% chance.

The other five teams that ranked lower than the Giants were the Cincinnati Bengals (27), New York Jets (28), Jacksonville Jaguars (29), Houston Texans (31) and Detroit Lions (32).

The Kansas City Chiefs topped PFF’s power rankings and were given a 14% chance to win the Super Bowl, but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who ranked No. 2 overall, received the highest probability to win The Big Game at 15%.
