LAWRENCE, Mass. — An 18-year-old Lawrence man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to the 2017 shooting death of a 25-year-old woman in the city, local police and the Essex County DA’s Office wrote Monday.
That man, identified as Emanuel Disla, is expected to be arraigned Tuesday in Lawrence District Court.

On Nov. 6, 2017, police found 25-year-old Mindy Tran suffering from gunshot wounds on Hillside Avenue in the city just before 7 p.m. Tran was transported to a local hospital where she later died. Police then began a homicide investigation that culminated in Disla’s arrest Monday; that investigation remains ongoing.
