The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported 3,019 additional coronavirus cases since its last update Friday.

Northampton County’s 131 additional cases since Friday were enough to give it the highest population-adjusted seven-day case rate among the state’s 67 counties.

Northampton added 89 cases per 100,000 residents over the last seven days, followed by Lawrence (86.6), Adams (80.6), Beaver (78) and Pike (68). Lehigh County’s 50.9 seven-day population-adjusted average places it 25th among the 67 counties.

The state’s 53.5 population-adjusted case rate places it sixth lowest among the states and District of Columbia, less than one-tenth the rate of 620 seen in Louisiana, according to data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Florida (516), Arkansas (424), Mississippi (307) and Missouri (295) join Louisiana as the top five states.
