Gray truck sought after it ‘deliberately ran over’ family of 5 geese, animal rescue group says

ATTLEBOROUGH, Mass. — A local animal rescue group is looking for your help in identifying a gray truck that they say deliberately ran over a family of five geese on Saturday.

The Friends of Attleboro Animal Shelter said in a Facebook post that the incident occurred around 4:15 p.m. Saturday on Route 123, near the water treatment plant.

The five geese -- a mother, father and three gosslings -- were trying to cross the road when the driver of the gray truck, which was in traffic as other vehicles waited for the geese to cross, “deliberately ran over” the family of geese and took off, the post said.

“ANY INFO IS GREATLY APPRECIATED,” the post said.

“We are looking for the owner of a gray truck that was on route 123, right at the water treatment plant around 4:15pm yesterday. This driver was in line with other vehicles and became impatient and deliberately ran over 5 Geese (a mom, dad and 3 gosslings),” the post said.

Further information was not immediately available.

Anyone with information on the driver of the truck should call Attleborough Police.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
