WHEN IS BORIS JOHNSON AND CARRIE SYMONDS’ SECOND BABY DUE

The couple are expecting their second child in Christmas. The happy mum announced the news on Instagram by snapping a picture of a blue baby’s pram along with a caption.

”Hoping for our rainbow baby this Christmas,” she wrote.

”At the beginning of the year, I had a miscarriage which left me heartbroken. I feel incredibly blessed to be pregnant again but I’ve also felt like a bag of nerves.

”Fertility issues can be really hard for many people, particularly when on platforms like Instagram it can look like everything is only ever going well.

”I found it a real comfort to hear from people who had also experienced loss so I hope that in some very small way sharing this might help others too,” she added.

WILL BORIS JOHNSON TAKE PATERNITY LEAVE?

It is currently unknown whether the PM will take paternity leave to spend time with his family.

Before the birth of his youngest son, Wilfred, Mr Johnson had said he wanted to take a fortnight off when his baby was expected to be born in June.

But Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas was born on April, 29, 2020, just 16 days after Boris fought for his life in intensive care with coronavirus – and after Carrie’s own fight with the deadly bug.

The PM had to delay his leave to lead the country in the fight against coronavirus.

According to the Government rules, Mr Johnson must take his two-week paternity leave within 56 days of the child’s birth.

BORIS & CARRIE MADE HISTORY AS FIRST UNMARRIED COUPLE TO LIVE TOGETHER AT DOWNING STREET

Mr Johnson and his then girlfriend also made history as the first unmarried couple to officially live together in Downing Street when they moved into the flat in Number 11 in 2019.

Formerly known by her maiden name of Symonds, the PR expert first found herself making headlines when she was romantically linked to Mr Johnson in early 2019.

But her association with Mr Johnson dates back to when she worked on his successful re-election bid at City Hall in 2012.

After her husband’s arrival in Downing Street, she was involved in a power struggle with the former de facto chief of staff in No 10, Dominic Cummings, which led to his ousting in the autumn.

Mr Cummings has accused Ms Symonds of looking to interfere in the running of the Government and recommending to her husband who to hire and fire, allegations that Downing Street deny.

WHEN WAS WILFRED JOHNSON BORN?

On April 29, 2020, Boris Johnson and Carrie Symonds welcomed their first child together, naming him Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas Johnson.

The name Wilfred after Mr Johnson’s grandfather, Lawrie after Ms Symonds’ grandfather.

The name Nicholas was chosen in tribute to the NHS doctors who saved Mr Johnson’s life when he was in hospital with coronavirus.

The young Johnson became Boris’ sixth child – and third son – and became the latest new baby born to a serving Prime Minister. Wilfred followed Tony Blair‘s son Leo in 2000 and David Cameron‘s daughter Florence in 2010 as newborns in Downing Street. The tot also became stepbrother to Boris’ five other children.

WILFRED STOLE HEARTS AT G7 SUMMIT BBQ IN CORNWALL

In June, Wilfred stole the show at a beach BBQ for G7 world leaders.

The youngster showed off his head of bright blonde curls as Carrie introduced him to the group and their partners at the event in Carbis Bay, Cornwall.

The 33-year-old beamed as the toddler walked towards her, much to the delight of America’s First Lady Jill Biden.

She was pictured cooing over Wilfred, who was dressed for the occasion in blue shorts and a white shirt.

The PM’s tousle-haired son – who shares his father’s thick locks – appeared to be the main attraction at the festivities.

The couple have taken the space above No11 Downing Street instead of the traditional residence at No10. A spokeswoman for the Prime Minister said at the time:”The PM is officially moving in today [July 29, 2019] and, yes, his partner will be living there.”

And on September 2, 2019, Boris and Carrie moved in another flatmate – Dilyn, a rescued Jack Russell puppy.

Ahead of Symonds move into No 10 she approached the wife of the former Conservative Prime Minister David Cameron for advice and tips.
