TikTok star with ‘world’s biggest mouth’ sets Guinness World Record as her gob stretches to 2.56inches when fully agape
A TIKTOK star with 1.7 million followers has bagged a Guinness World Record for having the world's biggest mouth for a woman.
Samantha Ramsdell, 31, from Connecticut, US, has previously gone viral for her gargantuan gob – with her jaws opening an incredible 2.56 inches when fully agape
Now, she has been recognised for breaking the Guinness record for world’s largest mouth gape of a female.
Samantha, a medical sales representative, told Guinness that she feels “great” now her mouth is being celebrated – while it was once a huge insecurity.
She can nearly fit an apple in her mouth, can fully bite through four-single stacked cheeseburgers, and can fit an entire large sized portion of fries.
She said: “Being 31 and being able to get a record for something that really I was so insecure about, something that I wanted to keep so small, it’s great because now it’s like one of the biggest, best things about me.
“If I had advice for anyone who had a large body part, or something really unique, and they wanted to go for the Guinness World Records title, I would say do it!
“Do it proud and make it your biggest asset. It’s your superpower. It is the thing that makes you special and different from everyone else walking around.”
Guiness met with Sam at her local dentist's officers and Dr. Elke Cheung used digital calipers to calculate the length and width of her mouth to determine its maximum stretch.
Even in childhood photos her large mouth was visible - with the TikToker revealing she was bullied as a child, being called cruel names like "big bass mouth".
But now she hopes she can inspire others who have large or unusual body parts, saying its her "superpower".

Samantha originally started her social media accounts to show off her performance skills – never knowing that her facial feature would attract such attention.
In 2019, Samantha only had around 300 hundred followers on social media, but she now has a whopping 1.7 million dedicated fans on TikTok.
She said: "At first, I was like, well... am I too old to be on TikTok?
"But it was the one thing I could do right now to keep me busy and keep me creative, so I started doing some singing, some of my comedy stuff, and I did one comedy video where I made this crazy face, and the children of TikTok were like, ‘what happened to your face?!"
And previously Sam has revealed she can make up to $14,500 per video which she posts on the popular video sharing channel.
“I lost over 50 pounds two years ago and regained a ton of my confidence back,” Samantha said.
“I started taking singing lessons, then posting my singing videos on Instagram.
“I fell in love with improv and comedy, and started posting more of that on social media too.
“I made a TikTok account in fall 2019, but didn't start really consistently posting until Covid hit around April 2020.
“I started growing popularity over lockdown, I'd make a lot of funny face videos, comedy skits and singing parodies.
“But any video involving my mouth and the faces I can make always went crazy viral.
“One of my biggest videos was me responding to a comment someone left me asking if I feel insecure about my mouth.
“I responded with a silly video; mouth wide open and saying 'I used to be insecure, but it's a part of me, so now I just let my big mouth shine in the sun'.

“That one boosted me to like 100,000 followers in August.
“My next huge viral video was me doing the 'I want to see your face glow red' challenge which got me to almost 500,000."
