A man was found dead at Las Olas Oceanside Park on Fort Lauderdale beach Friday night, but foul play isn’t suspected, police said.

Fort Lauderdale police got a call around 8:20 p.m. about the body at 3000 E. Las Olas Boulevard near State Road AIA.

Police suspect he was homeless. They haven’t released his name.

This is the second body found in that area of the beach in the past two months. On May 30, police responded to a 9 a.m. call about a homeless man’s body in the same area. In that case, the man was found in the sand near the wave wall north of Las Olas Boulevard. Foul play wasn’t suspected.

Las Olas Oceanside Park is among the busiest areas of Fort Lauderdale beach. The beach is steps away, on the east side of AIA.
