HBO and Dish TV reached an agreement.

Big news for Dish Network subscribers: HBO is making a comeback.

The TV carrier announced Thursday it will add the HBO Max streaming platform to its Dish TV service, as well as bring back HBO and Cinemax for subscribers after reaching an agreement with WarnerMedia.

Dish TV customers can subscribe to the ad-free version of HBO Max for $12 a month for up to 12 months as part of a promotion. HBO Max's ad-free plan typically costs $14.99 a month. Subscribers to Dish TV can add Cinemax for $10 a month.

"Our customers now have greater choice in the content they can access," Brian Neylon, group president of Dish TV, said in a statement. "HBO Max and Cinemax offer iconic, beloved and acclaimed content that our customers will enjoy."

The addition does not include Sling TV, the Dish Network's livestreaming service.

In 2018, Dish TV and Sling TV subscribers lost access to HBO and Cinemax as part of a dispute with AT&T.
