In the scenes, Joe, who plays Vinnie O'neill on the show, had been holding a black dog by the collar as the pair stood in a field.

Letting go of its collar, the speedy pooch whizzed off leaving Erin clutching her face in anticipation and Vinnie throwing his arms out.

Michelle could be seen opening her mouth in a convincingly shocked expression as the black dog pelted it across the field from Joe's arms, but the co-stars later jumped upwards and fist-pumped the air, suggesting they were pleased with the canine's efforts.

The actress looked gorgeous in her costume and wore her long tresses loose in big bouncy waves.

But it wasn't long until the whole cast and crew had their hoods up as the heavens opened on the set.

As he was being lead away, Erin, who has dated his best pal Dylan, whispered something inaudible in his ear.

Declaring his feelings, Vinnie said: 'I know it’s wrong, but you’re the first thing in the morning, and you’re the last thing at night.'

Brassic follows the story of Lancashire native Vinnie (Joe), who suffers from bipolar disorder and his best friend Dylan, played by Damien Molony, from whom he has been inseparable since childhood.

A tainted past, the boys have dealt, scammed, bribed and conned their way through adolescence.

Now, on the brink of adulthood, their dealing and stealing is catching up with them, with the repercussions of their crimes heading their way.

Michelle plays alongside them as a single mum seeking a better life for herself and son Tyler (Jude Riordan).

While navigating complicated relationships with the show's leads Dylan and Vinnie, she still strives for a good childhood for her son.

The new series of Brassic is expected to air on Sky One in October this year following the rise of the previous seasons.
