What’s in the bag of the tournament winners is always a popular post, and so with the pro tours off this week for the Olympics, we thought we’d look back at what kind of equipment was used to claim victory at the six majors during the 2020-21 super season.

We’re starting off with the golf balls of the four major winners.

Surprisingly, Titleist – despite its tagline of “the #1 ball in golf,” was shut out of the winner’s circle at this season’s majors.

TaylorMade and Callaway picked up two wins a piece, while Japanese brands Srixon and Bridgestone grabbed one each.

2020 Masters Champion: Dustin Johnson

2021 Masters Champion: Hideki Matsuyama

Japan’s Matsuyama won his maiden major title playing a Srixon Z-Star XV golf ball.

The 50-year old legend won his sixth career major title playing a Callaway Chrome Soft X Triple Track golf ball.

The 26-year-old Spaniard claimed his maiden major trophy at the U.S. Open using a Callaway Chrome Soft X golf ball.
