Two issues are at play here. First, is the mask mandate itself for three-year-olds. Second, is the inconsistent enforcement of it. Once again, another family was forced to step off a Southwest Airlines flight after their three-year-old son could not keep his mask on…but they flew again the next day and he wasn’t wearing a mask.

Yes a 2 or 3 year old cannot care for themselves but in the other hand why are they allowed to start t become transgender? Can’t have it both ways!

Trying to keep a mask on a toddler isn't an easy task! Somebody needs to get with the program and settle this once and for all! CEO'S?

I am a teacher of children ages 3-5 years with disabilities. if this child does not qualify for services as a result of a disunity then he should be wearing a mask. I taught all of my students, who are all diagnosed with autism, speech and language delays, and intellectual disabilities to wear a mask when they returned to school. if I can do that then these parents can certainly teach their child to do so in order to wear take a short flight. if they can't and their child won't, then they shouldn't be flying. Flying is a privilege, not a right and everyone must flow the rules. And establishments/businesses need to enforce the rules consistently so there is no mistaking what will be tolerated and what won't. We have become a society that is too lenient, too entitled, and too inconsistent.
