Inter Miami fans fume at Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuaín for strolling in his own half while his struggling MLS team-mates try to build an attack, with Phil Neville's side winless in SEVEN matches
- Gonzalo Higuaín looked out of breath in the 35th minute during his team's attack
- Higuaín said in June that he thought Major League Soccer would be easy enough for him to play with a "cigarette" in his mouth
- Instead, he has been surprised by the competitiveness of MLS, comparing it to Italy's Serie A after scoring four goals in seven league games this season
- Inter Miami's 1-1 draw with Philadelphia was team's first point in seven games
Inter Miami fans were quick to get on star striker Gonzalo Higuaín's back after he appeared disinterested in contributing to his team's attack against Philadelphia Union in a video that's gone viral.
In the clip, Higuaín can be seen walking very slowly with his head down instead of linking up with his teammates in Philadelphia's half with the scores locked at 0-0.
To make matters worse, the incident occurred in just the 35th-minute of the game.
The lack of effort from the former Argentina international, who is reportedly the highest-paid player in MLS thanks to his $7million-a-year salary, incensed many watching at home.
And the 2014 World Cup finalist attracted plenty of criticism on social media as the segment caused something of a storm on Twitter.

Higuaín somewhat proved his doubters wrong with a classy assist in the second half for teammate Robbie Robison's goal to put Inter Miami ahead.
Robinson's goal came off a first-time pass from Higuaín with his back to the opposition's goal to set his team-mate in behind and supply a composed finish.
It was the former Real Madrid, Napoli and Juventus striker's second assist of the season, but he is yet to show anything close to his best form out in America.
On his debut, Higuaín missed a penalty and then started a fight as Miami fell to a 0–3 defeat to the Philadelphia Union.
In June, he told ESPN that he thought that Major League Soccer would be easy enough for him to play with a 'cigarette' in his mouth.
The 33-year-old, who has scored four goals in seven league games this season, said that he has been surprised by the competitiveness of MLS, comparing it to Italy's Serie A.
In any case, Neville and Beckham will expect much more from their star man, with the franchise still bottom of the MLS Eastern Conference table.
Phil Neville's first stint in club management has been an unmitigated disaster up until now, with Miami mustering just nine points from their first 13 games.
Miami's next game pits them against Montreal, who are currently 17 places above them in seventh.
