'Where did the summer go?' Susanna Reid delights fans as she shares a hilarious snap of her sodden hair after getting caught in the rain
She usually puts on a smart display on the small screen every day.
But Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid took to Instagram to share a more candid side of herself on Monday after getting caught in an unexpected downpour.
The presenter, 50, offered a glimpse of her sodden hair and questioned whether summer had already come to an abrupt end as she posed in a green and black Coast top with a tiger print.
Looking directly at its lens, the bronzed ITV presenter flashed her pearly whites to the camera.
Captioning the snap, the former BBC newsreader penned: 'RAINY! Last couple of days @gmb tomorrow & Tuesday before the summer break but … where did the summer go?! ☔️'
Fans flocked to the comments section, with one writing, 'Gorgeous photo Susanna! XXX,' and another, 'So god damn beautiful,' followed by a slew of fire emojis.
The mother-of-three also announced on Tuesday's show that it would be her final appearance before heading off on her summer holidays for a few weeks.
It came as she and co-host Ben Shephard discussed EastEnders star Adam Woodyatt, who is taking a break from the soap after 35 years.
Ben, 46, said: 'He's taking a sabbatical, you can do that if you've been at a place long enough - you can get a bit of a sabbatical.'
To which Susanna bantered: 'I'll tell you what, I'm taking a sabbatical for the summer - today's my last day!'
Laughing away, Ben quipped: 'Ah, happy days!' before adding: 'No, no - we will miss you.'
Rolling her eyes, Susanna responded: 'God, that took a while.'
Susanna did not confirm when she will be returning to the programme, but is expected to take her usual six-week break, which would mean she returns in September.
