Tiger King’s Joe Exotic launching outrageous dating show to find sixth husband – and applications are officially open
TIGER King star Joe Exotic is set to be released from prison - and is already making big plans for when he is free.
The former zoo owner is launching his own cannabis line, and preparing to star in his own dating show to find his sixth husband, with applications already open.
Joe, 58, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage, is currently serving a 22-year prison sentence for a murder-for-hire plot against Carole Baskin.
But despite the charges, which also refer to animal cruelty, his sentence is due to be changed meaning he will soon walk away a free man.
Joe is having a huge two-day party thrown in his honour in Las Vegas ahead of his release, as well as starting his own marijuana line to make money.
Not only this, but the star is on a mission to settle with husband number six - launching his own dating show called 'Bachelor King'.
The show is taking online applications for men interested in dating Joe, who will then spend time with and pick between them, making one winner.
It comes after it was announced that Joe had split from husband Dillon Passage, 26, after four years of marriage and had a new boyfriend.
But the Netflix star is thought to be on a mission to find 'The One', asking prospective boyfriends to send in their shirtless photographs.
The application also includes a long list of questions including date night plans, opinions of marriage and whether the man "likes the ocean".
Whoever places in Joe's top three will get to spend an all-inclusive getaway with him over three days and four nights.
He said of the dating show: "I have been through hell in three years and I intend to make my new life something I have always dreamed of.
“I want to spend it with someone that can take a relationship seriously and be in love and enjoy this ride.”
The website details how the winning entry will have to "give the right to be filmed for TV during the getaway", with no compensation for participation.
Dozens of willing young men are said to have already shared their interest in being Joe's sixth husband, with their profiles available on the website.
The contestants include a 21-year-old man from the UK going under the name Peter T, and a man who had run for mayor in Rhode Island.
If sparks did fly with one of the men, Joe has promised to marry them and make them his sixth (and final) husband.
Joe lost his first husband, Brian Rhyne, when he was young - in 1991 - after he died due to "complications from a deadly infection".
He soon married JC Hartpence - but the relationship didn't last long due to reports of violence from JC towards Joe.
The marriage reportedly ended when Hartpence held a gun to Joe's head in a drunken row - with JC now serving time in prison for murder and pedophilia.
Joe was most notably in a polygamous marriage with John Finlay and Travis Moldonado in 2014 - having a three-way wedding shown on Tiger King.
Finlay decided to leave Joe a year later, ending their 11-year relationship, and going on to marry a woman and have a child together.
Travis died in 2017, aged just 23, after shooting himself in the head at Joe's GW Zoo - in what is said by Joe to be a tragic accident.

Joe then married Dillon Passage, 22, in the same year - but the pair separated earlier this year while Joe was in prison.
Tiger King is available to stream on Netflix.
