DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Delray Beach woman who told police she was trapped in a sewer drain underneath Delray Beach for days before she was rescued in March, is now in the Palm Beach county Jail.

Lyndsey Kennedy, 43, is charged with hit and run and driving with a suspended license.

While the arrest report continues to be processed, the hit and run charge specifically lists “fail to stop or remain at a crash involving injury other than serious bodily injury” as a specific enhancement.

Kennedy was found in a storm drain near West Atlantic and Southwest 11th Avenue in Delray Beach on March 3rd, three weeks after her boyfriend reported her missing. Kennedy said she had been wondering around below Delray Beach for weeks.

Police in Grand Prairie, Texas say they also found Kennedy in a storm drain there June.

It was not immediately clear where Kennedy’s July 26th arrest — or alleged traffic crash — occurred. She was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail at 5:35 p.m. Monday afternoon, and remains locked up Tuesday morning.
